Awaiting yet another snowfall.

So today I found out if you go to the google homepage and enter www.acousticdisco.blogspot.com it brings up Tomas' bebo page. How weird is that? On his bebo page he lists me as being his better half. But thats an entirely different conversation.
Yeah, so we're due for another blizzard tonight. Or so they say. Everyone in Toronto is talking about yet another snowstorm but if you ask me it's not a snowstorm until even the industrial snowplows can't get down the street. When you wake up in the morning and can't get out your front door, then you know you had a snowstorm the night before.
There is something about the band Blonde Redhead. I've had this compulsion to love them and their music before ever hearing their music. I saw them at the Virgin Festival last September and they were good but I still feel this compulsion is a little irrational. I finally picked up their last album 23 and I just got an old album they did back in 1997 called Fake can be just as good. And both albums are good. But I still have this weird compulsion to love them that is a bit stronger then seems reasonable. I don't know if this makes sense.
I also picked up the first album by Tha Alkoholics called Over 21 and dang, its good. Its really f'ing good. The beats and the production on the album sound way ahead of its time. I also picked up this Gene Krupa/Buddy Rich live album that has this track they performed live back in 1953 where they had a drum battle to find out who was the superior jazz drummer. Its insane. Oh and I got a bunch of old Aphex Twin albums that I've been dying to hear. It's weird cause I don't quite love his music and I don't hate it, it just has this weird hypnotizing quality that sucks me in, makes me want to hear where his songs are going.
Oh and I'm all the way up to Barcelona now, as you can see. We spent a week in this incredible city and it was one of my favourite experiences. I was fascinated and overwhelmed by all the Gaudi architecture. It has to be seen to be believed.
Spain is a marvelous, gorgeous country. Fernando Jose Torres Sanz was born in Spain. God bless his boyishly handsome mug, and god bless his beautiful mother for birthing him and god bless this beautiful country for providing a healthy environment in which he could learn and grow.
Oh and on a final note, the Montreal Canadiens are number one in the Eastern Conference! I wonder what the odds were at the start of the season on this happening. Staggering I would imagine.
Remember the photos are in reverse chronological order.

Barcelona!!!! A city unlike any other!!!!! (includes two pics of Madrid and one of the Spanish countryside.)
