Dang...

We're makin some head way now. We finished our road trip last September in grand fashion, got back to Toronto. Covered Tom's many visits to Toronto, Dave's visit(including several of the ass whooping he gave me in pool), Thanksgiving, Halloween, the Buck 65 show at the Music Gallery, Dave Eggers in East Toronto, Joel celebrating the Horseshoes 60th birthday, Christmas and New Years and our night out with Ryan. A side note: butch lesbians don't appreciate straight men trying to get em on the dance floor.
Oh and we covered Tom's last days in Toronto, including that great night at the Phoenix with DJ Milhouse(whose stature has since been greatly diminished.). And some great poached eggs. That means I'm up to February. Remember February? All that snow and cold and misery. Now its nice and warm and people are still complaining.
You know, despite what you may believe, customer service does not help improve ones view of humanity.
I'm readjusting to the bachelor lifestyle, albeit temporarily, and have become painfully aware of how empty it is.
I just finished Cormac McCarthys novel The Road. It might be one of the greatest books I've ever read. On par with A Heartbreaking work of staggering genius. It pained me to see it was a selection in Oprahs book club, but please don't let that deter you.
Right now I'm hopped up on caffeine after too many cups of coffee and I feel weird. I'm thinking I need to be doing something constructive with my spare time. Been watching too much tv lately. Speaking of which, I just finished season four of The Wire and it was the best season yet. Has there ever been a better television show? Has there ever been a bigger badass on television than Omar? I don't think so. I mean, goddamn. They should publish a book of life advice as told by Omar. It would be vital reading.
Ummm, yeah, so I'm a bit jittery now. Willy Mason playin in the background, my stomach feelin strange. Realizing what a vanity project this whole thing is. I've never thought of myself as particularly vain. I may have been wrong.
Did anybody see that Federer V Nadal match? Dang. Has tennis ever been that exciting?
This is Spain's year.

I'm gonna go now. All this caffeine is giving me a headache.

Our legendary night at the Phoenix, winter time in Toronto, and some perfect poached eggs. Very nice.

Tearing East Toronto up with Nic, Ryan, Cameron and Laurie! We had a good dance that night. Sham-bon.
